This picture depicts a tree with glasses--to remind the children to look for the good in others in after school too. The tree is a visual for the children and are asked what attitude they would like to choose. There is the Happy Banana or the Silly Orange even after they may have been the Angry Apple.

TO ALL THE KIDS WHO SURVIVED the 1930's 40's, 50's, 60's and 70's !! First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant. The Western Front at the time was cold and rainy, but that Christmas they celebrated with music, gifts from home and even played a game of soccer together. Eventually the goodwill ended and the war continued, but those soldiers that crossed into no man's land learned that their enemies were more like themselves than they had realized.

Here's a clever way to incorporate the Positive Label Program into a fun decorated door...
This teacher chose to use the farm and animals as a theme. The students chose an animal and decided what kind of positive words that animal might say about them. This is a great way to introduce positive words and helping the students see their positive qualities. |
