Students will demonstrate Respect, Kindness, Honesty, Cooperation, and Personal Best by interacting with student-to-teacher, student-to-student and in a group in an appropriate manner.

Materials Needed: Beads, String, Box, Paper

Procedure/Activity:
1.Decorate a box with Casey pictures and come up with a title for your box.
2. Place the box in a central location. 3. Explain to students that you, their teachers, peers, parents, etc. will be on the look out for students who are interacting appropriate with each other and their teachers.

This picture depicts a tree with glasses--to remind the children to look for the good in others in after school too. The tree is a visual for the children and are asked what attitude they would like to choose. There is the Happy Banana or the Silly Orange even after they may have been the Angry Apple.

First, we survived being born to mothers who smoked and/or drank while they were pregnant.
They took aspirin, ate blue cheese dressing, tuna from a can, and didn't get tested for diabetes.

Then after that trauma, we were put to sleep on our tummies in baby cribs covered with bright colored lead-based paints.

We had no childproof lids on medicine bottles, doors or cabinets and when we
rode our bikes, we had no helmets, not to mention, the risks we took hitchhiking

During the Christmas of 1914, in the midst of WWI, hundreds and maybe thousands crossed into no man's land to celebrate Christmas...even with their enemies. The Western Front at the time was cold and rainy, but that Christmas they celebrated with music, gifts from home and even played a game of soccer together. Eventually the goodwill ended and the war continued, but those soldiers that crossed into no man's land learned that their enemies were more like themselves than they had realized.

Here is another way a teacher used the Positive Label Program in decorating her door. This door is called the "Amazing Casey Positively Spectacular Spider." The students each made a spider and then used positive label descriptions of themselves and attached them to the legs of their spider.

Here's a clever way to incorporate the Positive Label Program into a fun decorated door...

This teacher chose to use the farm and animals as a theme. The students chose an animal and decided what kind of positive words that animal might say about them. This is a great way to introduce positive words and helping the students see their positive qualities.
