Grade/Subject: Kindergarten: Social Skills

State Standard Met: The Living World: Plants. This idea is inspired by specific learning standards on Georgia Standards site (http://www.georgiastandards.org.) Fayette County, Georgia 1. The students uses self control. 2. The students responds positively to authority 3. The student respects peers.

Topic Objective: How can I be a Super Hero with a good attitude? This will support a better community environment in our classroom and school.

Positive Label Program Relevance: People skills (social skills) are key focus of program.

Procedure/Activity: We will introduce the good finder message stickers and help the students when they want to give or send a message. We will put Casey Character slips in the box for their names to be drawn for a super hero bracelet. Students will be made aware that we are looking to catch them being kind and positive. For an act of kindness, we will make bread and a positive message card for our adopted buddy (our lunchroom superviser). We will lead a discussion about how important Mrs. McCann is to us and how much we appreciate all she does for us. The students will help sign the card. We will have a discussion about hwo it made us feel to give the bread and card to Mrs. McCann
