Topic Objective: The learner wil lbe made aware of his/her positive characteristics. The ability to know what makes them special.

Positive Label Program Relevance: Uses Casey shirt to encourage writing and building self esteem.

Materials Needed: Sheet that includes numerous words used as positive labesl. Tape, digital camera, colored paper, and heading for door. Hot glue, Casey shirts, colored pencils/crayons, conversation bubbles, scissors, tape.

Procedure/Activity: Participate in finding a good quality about themselves write this on a thinking or talking bubble and placing this on the door of the classroom. The teacher will provide a sheet of adjectives and nouns which can be used by the students for positive labesl. Teacher will need digital camer for photos. 1. Students will think about themselves and a positive label. 2. Color and cut out a Casey shirt. 3. Select either a thinking or speaking bubble. 4. Write their positive label in the bubble. 5. Cut out the bubble 6. Cut out their head shot (taken by the teacher with a digital camera). 7. Select a place on the classroom door to hot glue their shirt and bubble.

Instructions: The students will learn new vocabulary which can be used to describe themselves. Tell students to think about what maeks them special.
